We contracted Van Martin Roofing to fix leaking dormers that were in terrible shape. The leaks were causing damage to the first floor ceiling under the dormers. Dustin from Van Martin Roofing was prompt with arriving at our house at the scheduled time and getting a quote later that day. Within a week and a half of putting 25% down, they had not only fixed the dormers but also the flashing around the chimney, which we did not know what a problem based on the inspector. Based on the photo autopsy of the previous work we inherited when we bought the house, the previous work was very sloppy and was likely done by someone who should not have been allowed on a roof. The roofers in my opinion went well beyond a quick fix. Van Martin for leaking dormers! ~ Josh H

I contracted Van Martin roofing to replace the roof of my home. To start, the sales rep (Jesse) filled me in with information about the process of this project, answered questions about the estimate, and gave me a-lot of detail about what their services would encompass. Once I contracted them, their team was on-point with communication and setting up dates. Come the day of service, the Project Manager (Carlos) kept an open line of communication for me to ask questions and to update me on the status of the project. Carlos was very helpful. He and his team did an excellent job with my roof. I thank them all for their hard work! Overall, I am satisfied with my new roof and the services Van Martin provide. Van Martin Roofing is a wonderful company to work with, Jared was quick to come out and give us a quote for exactly what we asked for and we didn’t feel any pressure to have any add ons or extras he listened to what we wanted and went from there. The product came in a lot sooner than what was estimated and the crew came out pretty much as soon as it came in to get started on the work, Carlos was our project manager and his communication throughout the process was fantastic and he personally came out to the job site to check in on the work every day the crew was out and ensured things were looking good and making sure we were happy with the work. Patio roof was old and leaking. Contacted Van Martin, came out and inspected the roof. Received the quote after the inspection. The price was high, due to COVID, supply change problems, and the high fuel prices. I understand that, all prices are high. They have a loan program through a bank and I took this option. I wanted a reliable company with a good reviews, reputation and I felt Van Martin is the one. It took most of the day to complete the work. The workers were very professional and went right to work. Very clean when the job was finished. The only concern I had, was they left without getting with me to go over what all they did. Overall, outstanding work, professional, clean work area, and I would highly recommend their company. ~ Kevin M

We had some storm chaser come by and try to talk us into a claim. We DID NOT go with the storm chasers who said that we for sure had damage but instead reached out to Van Martin. Dustin Karl with Van Martin came out was very respectful and explained about storm chasers. They tell everyone they have issues in hopes that one or two will actually get approved. And homeowners don’t realize that a claim is a claim regardless if work needs to be done. The storm chasers don’t care. Thanks to Dustin with Van Martin, we did not have any damage and do not need to place a claim. Dustin also fixed three small issues on our roof at no cost to extend the life of our roof and gave recommendations on when it will need to be replaced. Recommend Van Martin and specifically Dustin Karl to anyone in need of a new roof. ~ Rachael C

Great experience with VanMartin Roofing. The high winds yesterday caused damage to the ridge cap of my roof. Dustin came out to take a look and saw that the damage was minimal. Knowing that they were scheduled out for 4-6 weeks and seeing that he could fix it -- and better than before -- he grabbed some supplies and had it good to go in about 20 minutes. No muss, no fuss. He took the time to explain everything he was doing and made some recommendations for when it was time to replace the shingle system. Oh, did I mention that he didn't charge me for any of that? I'd never met Dustin before today, but it was like having a knowledgeable neighbor come over and help out with a project, only this "neighbor" didn't know me and is a professional. Van Martin Roofing is a fantastic company. I first called them when my roof started leaking and the person who answered the phone was extremely compassionate and understanding of how scary that can be. The guy I worked with on the contract worked hard to give us the best possible price he could, and when it came time for the work, it was done well and only took one day (adjust your expectations accordingly depending on the size/complexity of your roof. Ours was a pretty simple job). Ty, our project manager, was fantastic about communication and kept us informed every step of the way. I’m extremely satisfied with my new roof, and rest much easier knowing that it’s safe and water tight. I’d highly recommend Van Martin roofing the next time you need repair/replacement of your roof, excellent people to call when it’s an emergency as well. ~ Larry H

We had a small leak in our roof. I tried to find the source but couldn't figure it out. I contacted VM and two days later they sent Dustin Karl out to do an inspection. He found the problem in about 60 seconds, pried the shingle up and had the problem patched on the spot. He found a second potential problem spot and patched that too. He looked over the roof and gutters and said that someone focused on sales would probably tell me to replace it, but he judged it had at least another two years left in it (which matches the estimate of the home inspector when bought the house) and he would recommend we wait to replace it. Very impressed by the professionalism and honesty. In a couple of years when it comes time to replace the roof we'll definitely be calling Van Martin to have them out to do the work. ~ Chad W

I had siding work completed by Van Martin in the summer of 2023, which was a good experience overall. By the summer of 2025 there was one area of my chimney siding they had worked on that need to be repaired. I looked at my contract from 2023 and realized it was just a couple weeks before the two year warranty on the work they completed in 2023 was running out. So I called Van Martin about getting the siding fixed under warranty. They were responsive, understanding, and prompt. They were able to get two team members out the following morning, discussed the fix with me, and got the work done. They really stood by their work, easily honored their warranty, and did not drag their heels on coming by to get things fixed. I was very impressed and respect them even more as a company for being great at responding to a warranty call. ~ Justin D

As homeowners we required complete roof replacement as well as gutter replacement /guard installation with soffit repair . Ronnie Young provided professional sales service and was a pleasure to work with. His knowledge and expertise made our decision to proceed easy and he was available to answer questions and was very thorough . The roofing and gutter install teams offered wonderful workmanship and took good care of our property and landscaping . The project was completed in a timely manner that exceeded our expectations. Our experience was fantastic! From the phone call to contact VanMartin, the sales consultant (Scott), and a very professional, efficient, and experienced crew ! I was so impressed that Scott flew a drone over my house to find a skylight that had been installed in 2016, why it had leaked! Come to find out the company that put it in used our OLD Flashing😡Scott made sure Vellux still had the flashing that matched our skylight. To our luck, they did! The crew was so careful, and very, very little clean up🌹I rate Van Martin 10 stars! It was through some long research that I found Van Martin roofing, they had a 5 star rating. This review is submitted on behalf of my Aunt V. Taylor. Mike and Jarred provided exceptional customer service while responding to a warranty call at my aunt’s residence. They listened carefully to my aunt’s concerns. On a very cold day they the climb on the roof without a second thought. They identify caulking was need and took care of the issue. The gave great feedback on the cracks in the stone chimney that will need some repairs. It’s good to know exceptional service oriented people like Mike and Jarred still exist. The first thing Mathew did when he met me was give me his card. Utmost level of professionalism and cleanliness. The entire process was smooth and communication was flawless. Quoted time was 4-8 weeks for installation. We had asked for no earlier than the 4 week mark due to our daughter's birthday party. Literally a week later they had availability and we agreed since we still had time before the birthday. The clean up process was taken seriously and everyone working inspected the area thoroughly. They hooked up the dumpster, pulled out of the driveway then walked the driveway and street to make sure they didn't miss anything. Super impressed and highly recommend this company. Ronnie was phenomenal at helping us pick our siding colors and style while also informing us of issues that may arise due to the state of our existing siding and gutters. He also went above and beyond his duties in helping with communication at the start of the project when we were not kept in the loop. Despite delays and setbacks, Carlos managed his team in a way that helped see our project through to completion. The team was respectful, kind, helpful, and extremely hard working, braving even the coldest elements. Carlos answered all the questions and concerns that I had and made sure that everything was done to our satisfaction. We had Van Martin come to look at our house due to a leak in the ceiling of a new home we had just purchased. I believe it was Taylor that came out for us. He was SO beyond helpful. Was completely honest about the damage and anticipated repairs, and the best route to take, and in being honest he saved us what could have been at leas a few hundred dollars. He quickly did a small fix himself, and let us know what to look for to make sure that fix worked. It won't be the solve for the long run but will last quite a few months until we can get it properly updated. He could have not let us know this and charged more but that's clearly not the type of person he is or company this is. Honesty and integrity can be lacking these days so I was very, very impressed and would absolutely use their services again. ~ Heather R

Van Martin company is awesome. I would highly recommend them. They are very professional, knowledgeable and very friendly. The eaves of our house were beginning to look very problematic. I researched roofing companies on Better Business Bureau and this company was highly recommended with A+ rating from them and 4.9 star rating on google The Sales manager responded immediately to our needs. Investigated the roof and eaves thoroughly. Noted that we had a lot of deteriorated and rotted suffit and the fascia. The gutters connected to the rotted fascia and rotted suffit was potential for eaves collapsing following a heavy snow. Jared explained recommendations and options to how to fix the problem. The roof on my home was installed by another company in 2011 in the aftermath of a high wind event. I purchased the property on 2012 and have had a number of water leaks as a result of substandard work by the previous company. That company is no longer in business so I called Van Martin. Jim Honious has responded to my concerns promptly and after inspection given me his recommendation and/or estimate of repair. His crews did an excellent job of replacing the ridge cap which had come off. Now I found a tiny leak in another area. He inspected it, explained possible causes, and suggested I monitor the situation and keep him informed. He did not pressure me to do unnecessary repairs which I appreciated. I will definitely recommend this company to my friends and family. They have integrity, do quality work, and are responsive to concerns big or small. ~ Judy M

Our Buisness Needed a new Roof (in trotwood) We called VM and Jason Taylor came out. He Understood the stress we felt and He was VERY Professional, Vey Patient with us & a Great Listener too. He did a Great job explaining in detail everything we needed and how the whole process would go. Plus he helped us completely resolve our gutter situation as well. We didn't even have to shut down Buisness at all Which was a Big Deal For Us. We called a couple of companies just to quote compare but Jason and VM stood alone. Our roof was completed about 3 months ago but We wanted to wait to see how our Roof and Gutter held up before writing a review.(they did have to slow up just a bit because they had to wait on a part) But Our experience was that they did exactly everything they said they would do and made the stress of replacing a roof at our Buisness seamless.. We enjoyed working with Van Martin from start to finish. Everyone was professional and we were satisfied with the results. The first half of our work started last year by replacing the existing cedar siding with cement Hardy board and the old windows with Marvin. This year we replaced with remaining first floor windows. Their installer, Thomas, did both jobs for us. Thomas is a master craftsman working with the cement board, installing windows, interior wood around the windows and shaping plain rolls of aluminum wrapping the existing exposed wood outside. I would not hesitate to have Van Martin work for us again or in recommending them to someone else. ~ the T

I’ve had bad experiences with two different local contractors that have left me very leery of small business. A lot of that fear has been rectified by Van Martin Roofing. The estimator came and provided us with a clear explanation of what we were to expect. The office made sure we understood that they were working for us and intended to follow through with our contract as agreed to. The crew came and finished the residential roof including tear-off and skylight replacement in the time they said they would. When they left our property it was completely cleaned up. Van Martin Roofing did an excellent job from start to finish replacing the shingles on our house and shed. The project included adding a gutter guard. We appreciated the time and advice from Dustin in choosing the best color of shingles. There was no pressure or rush to make a decision. The cost of the project was fair. Everyone on the team was professional, skilled and hard working. We liked their attention to detail and were amazed at how quickly and efficiently the work was done.
